Mountain Energy issuing 1,976,000 IPO today



KATHMANDU: Mountain Energy Nepal Limited is issuing 1,976,000 units of ordinary shares (IPO) worth Rs 1,976,000 to the general public from today (Wednesday).

The company is selling 10 percent of its shares for Rs 100 per unit.

According to a notice issued by the company, two percent of its shares allocated for the general public have been put aside for office staffers, five percent for mutual fund and the remaining 1,830,000 units have been allocated for the general public.

The applicants can apply for the shares until November 17 starting today and if any shares are left unsold, the deadline for the application will be extended till November 25.

Mountain Energy Nepal Limited is a public limited company promoted by business persons having experience in the hydropower sector. There are two projects running under its wings; Tadi Khola Jalavidyut Aayojana (5 MW) and Mistri Khola Jalavidyut Aayojana (42 MW).
