India’s COVID-19 cases cross 8.6 million mark

KATHMANDU: India recorded 44,679 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 8,635,754.

Currently, 496,295 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals. Meanwhile, 8,011,844 have returned home after treatment.

Similarly, the number of deaths from the coronavirus in India has crossed the 127,600-mark.

With 511 deaths in a single day, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 127,615, according to the latest figures collated by Worldometers.
