Province-1 reports 409 fresh cases of coronavirus in last 24 hours



BIRATNAGAR: Province-1 has reported as many as 409 cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Social Development of Province 1, the province saw 236 COVID-19 cases in Morang, 97 in Sunsari, 40 in Jhapa, eight in Udayapur, two each in Ilam, Paanchthar and Solukhumbu and one each in Dhankuta and Khotang on Sunday.

The province got 20 cases in the people from outside the province today.

The Ministry informed that among today’s cases, 277 are males and 132 females.

With this the coronavirus infection case tally in the province has reached 10,003 now.

In the meantime, the number of discharged cases in the province has reached to 4,812. The province got 25 people discharged after recovery on Sunday.

A total of 1,37,517 cases have been tested so far in the eight COVID-19 labs in the province.

Age-wise coronavirus case study shows majority of the infection cases in the province belong to 21-30 age group. 29.71% cases belong to this group here.

Interestingly, the senior citizens above 71 have less coronavirus cases in this province. Only 247 cases or 2.44% cases belong to above 71 year group till now.
