Makwanpur records 51 fresh COVID-19 cases

HETAUDA: As many as 51 additional people have been infected with coronavirus in Makwanpur district.

The new cases were confirmed during tests at the laboratory of Vector Borne Disease Research and Training Center, Hetauda on Thursday evening, said Bhola Prasad Chaulagain, Public Health Chief of Hetauda Sub Metropolitan City.

According to Chaulagain, 42 among those infected are from Hetauda Sub Metropolitan City, one from Makwanpurgadhi rural municipality, six from Raksirang rural municipality, one from Bakaiya rural municipality, and one from Sindhuli.

Meanwhile, ward chairman of Makwanpurgadhi rural municiapality-3 has also been infected with the virus.

Similarly, 16 new people have been infected with the virus in Ramgram municipality of Nawalparasi West.

A total of 347 people have been infected with the virus so far in the district.
