Nepal reports four COVID-19 fatalities, pushing death toll to 83

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s death toll from coronavirus reached 83 as of Tuesday afternoon after four deaths reported in the last 24 hours.

Speaking at a regular press briefing this afternoon, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that two from Dhanusha and one each from Kavre and Sindhupalchowk have died of coronavirus.

A 60-year-old man from Dhanusha died at Janakpur Hospital on Monday and a 50-year-old man also from Dhanusha breathed his last on Sunday.

Likewise, a 50-year-old woman from Kavre succumbed to coronavirus on Tuesday and the report of an 84-year-old man who died at Teaching Hospital on Thursday has come positive.

Meanwhile, Nepal confirmed 638 fresh cases in the last 24 hours that took the national tally to 23,948.
