Police Inspector of MPC, Balaju infected with COVID-19



KATHMANDU: A police personnel working at Metropolitan Police Circle (MPC), Balaju has tested positive for coronavirus.

A Police Inspector working at Metropolitan Police Range, Balaju was found infected with the COVID-19 during a sample test conducted on Friday.

The infected police personnel has been kept in isolation of Armed Police Force Hospital based in Balambu.

Meanwhile, the PCR tests of other police personnel at the police station are underway after a coronavirus was found in the Police Inspector.

Originally from Gorkha, the infected police official had been staying in Tokha municipality.

He has not gone out of the Kathmandu Valley since the Nepal government imposed lockdown in the country to stem coronavirus spread on March 24.
