149 Qatar returnees sent to Kharipati quarantine

KATHMANDU: Altogether 149 people who returned from Qatar on Friday have been taken to the Kharipati quarantine after suspicion of Corona Virus infection. Among them, six are women and a girl.

The 149 people had landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport via Qatar Airways. Instead of taking them to the regular holding centers, they were taken to the quarantine in Kharipati at ward no. 7 of Changunarayan municipality.

Upon arrival, they were boarded in nine buses and taken to the Kharipati quarantine following suspicion of Corona Virus infection, said Chief District Officer of Bhaktapur Humkala Pandey.

A PCR test for Corona Virus will be carried out of all before further action is taken.

Earlier, the passengers arriving in rescue fights were taken to holding centers and sent to their respective districts following the protocol.
