Deceased in Kalikot tipper mishap identified



KALIKOT: The identities of the people who died in a tipper accident that occurred at Lalighat in Kalikot district have been established.

Those who died on the spot have been identified as 23-year-old Sharmila Sarki and 21-year-old Thumki Sarki while the other who died in the course of treatment at KIST Hospital is Nispata Sarki, 20. They all are from Raskot municipality-2.

The incident had taken place when the ill-fated tipper plunged into the Karnali River on Wednesday morning in Naraharinath rural municipality-1.

Two among 39 passengers died on the spot while the third one succumbed to her injuries in the course of treatment.
