Government reconstitutes high-level CCMC

KATHMANDU: The government has reconstituted the COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) led by Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokhrel.

Four ministers have been added to the list.

The CCMC will include new faces like Minister for Foreign Affairs; Minister for Tourism; Minister for Energy and Minister for Agriculture.

Meanwhile, the committee has chiefs of the four security organs.

This was decided at the meeting of the cabinet held on Wednesday evening at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.

Meanwhile, the government has also decided to relax the ongoing lockdown. The government will allow shops to open from today.

According to Minister for Water Resources Barsha Man Pun, taxi, private vehicles and two-wheeler will be allowed to operate by maintaining safety measures.

Likewise, the government will announce its final decision on the modality today.
