KATHMANDU: The Metrological Forecasting Division (MFD) has stated that brief rain/thundershowers accompanied with gusty winds and hail is likely to occur at some places of the western region and at one or two places of the eastern and central regions.
It added that the weather will be generally cloudy in the western region along with eastern and central hilly regions and partly cloudy in the rest of the country.
The country is currently experiencing partial effects of the western low-pressure system and local winds, as well as the general effects of water vapor entering the Bay of Bengal, according to MFD.
There is a possibility of thunder /lightning /hail and wind in some places in the west and one-two places in the middle and east regions in the last 24, it added in a weather bulletin issued for today.

Sunday
Afternoon: There will be general cloud cover in the western part of the country, hilly areas in the middle and east, and partial cloud cover in the rest of the country. There is a possibility of thunderstorm lightning /hail and wind in some places in the western part as well as in one or two places in the central and eastern parts.
Night: There will be normal cloud cover in the western part of the country and partial cloud cover in the rest of the country. There is a possibility of rain with thunder /lightning /hail and wind in a few places in the western part of the country and in one-two places in the middle and east regions.
Monday
Afternoon: There will be normal cloud cover in most parts of the country. There is a possibility of thunder /lightning /hail and rain in some parts of the hilly terrain of the country and in a few places in the Terai.
Night: In most parts of the country, there is a possibility of showers with thunderstorms /lightning /hail and strong winds in a few places.
Tuesday
Afternoon: There will be normal cloud cover in most parts of the country. There is a possibility of rain with thunder /lightning /hail and wind in some parts of the country.
Night: There will be general cloud cover in the eastern part of the country and mid-hill part of the country and partial cloud cover in the rest of the land. There is a possibility of thunder /lightning /hail and wind in some places in the eastern part, small places in the central part and one-two places in the western part.
