COVID NP app launched

KATHMANDU: An app named COVID NP has been launched here Saturday.

Developed by the COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre-Operations (CCMC-OPs), Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokharel launched the app by downloading it at the CCMC at Chauni amid an event.

It helps identify infected people and provide counseling and manage early treatment through the app. One can download the app on their android phones and get information related to the infection like symptoms, precautious measures and health tests.

Users are categorized into green, yellow and red zones based on the evaluation of questions related to the infection raised to the users.

On the occasion, DPM Pokharel, also Defence Minister, stressed the need for efforts of all to help ease the situation created by the virus while making the efforts to prevent, control and respond to the infection successful.

The DPM urged all to make the best use of the app to get information about the infection in time and help prevent and control it.

Likewise, secretary of the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Narayan Prasad Bidari sounded caution against the misuse of the app.
