India to continue supply of medical supplies to Nepal

KATHMANDU: India has said it will continue the supply of medical supplies to assist Nepal in its fight against COVID-19.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said so during a telephone conversation with Prime Minister KP Oli on Friday, adding that it will ensure seamless cross border trade.

The two prime ministers also discussed keeping the supply chain smooth and easier.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister thanked his Indian counterpart for assistance including medicines to be provided by India to Nepal.

The prime ministers discussed measures in the fight against the global pandemic and agreed to intensify the measures to ward off coronavirus.

The conversation was focused on further strengthening mutual collaboration in the fight against the COVID-19 and providing better care and support for those citizens stopped in each other’s countries during the lockdown.

PM Oli expressed sorrow over the death of people in India due to coronavirus and extended deep condolences to the members of the bereaved family.
