Covid-19 death toll climbs to 18, 279 in Italy



KATHMANDU: The death toll from Coronavirus has climbed to 18, 279 in Italy, the worst-hit country in terms of deaths.

According to Worldometer, 610  people died in the last 24 hours while the number of infection cases has reached 142, 626 with 4, 204 new infections in a single day.

Currently,  96, 877 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 3, 605 are critical. Meanwhile, 28, 470 have recovered after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 209 countries including two international conveyances across the globe.
