Rain forecast for today



KATHMANDU: Rain or thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places of the eastern and central hilly regions today due to the effect of the westerly winds.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said that the weather would remain partly cloudy throughout the country on Tuesday.

Meteorologist Manju Basi said light rain coupled with lightning is likely in one or two places of the eastern and central hilly region in the late afternoon.

It is likely to be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country tonight.

The Division said that the westerly winds have entered Nepal through the western region and its influence is more likely in the western parts of the country.

The westerly wind will be active in the western region of Nepal from Wednesday.
