Machhindra defeats Sankata 3-1, tops points table

KATHMANDU: Machhindra Football Club defeated Sankata Club 3-1 in the ongoing Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League on Monday.

With the win, Machhindra has climbed the top of the points table with 28 points from 12 matches.

At the match played at the Saatdobato-based ANFA Complex, Devendra Tamang, Bishal Rai B and Deepak Rai scored a goal each for Machhindra.

Tamang scored in the 44th minute of the game. Bishal added another goal for Machhindra in the 64th minute to double the tally. Deepak added another goal in the 82nd minute of the game to take the lead to 3-1.

Messouke Etiegnie Oloumou scored the lone goal for Sankata in the 89th minute of the game.
