Dailekh District Health Office launches physiotherapy service



DAILEKH: The District Health Office (DHO), Dailekh has launched a physiotherapy service for the first time in the district.

The hospital has extended its service considering the increasing demand for the same.

The number of patients requiring the service is currently on the rise, DHO Chief Dr Niranjan Panta said.

Physiotherapy is recommended for those people primarily with neurological and spinal issues, muscle pain, back pain, paralysis, and bone issues, according to Dr Panta.

Meanwhile, Handicap International has provided equipment worth Rs one million to the DHO to operate the service. Likewise, the Karnali State government has ensured a budget to hire physiotherapists.
