MFD forecasts chillier days ahead



KATHMANDU: Domestic weather which has remained affected for the past few days due to the influence of Westerly wind is improving today, the Meteorological Forecasting Division said.

The system that had entered Nepal on Monday via the western region is making its exit today via the country’s northeast region, said meteorologist Sajina  Shakya.

Today there is partly cloudy in the eastern and central hilly regions and mainly fair in the rest of the country.

Likewise, tonight there will be partly cloudy in the eastern and central hilly regions and mainly fair in the rest of the country, it has been predicted.

On Saturday, the weather is generally predicted to remain clear throughout the country in the daytime and during the night, there will be partly cloudy in eastern, central and western hilly parts and generally fair in the rest of the country.

On Sunday, the weather will remain generally fair throughout the country.

However, the Division said days are still chillier as the winter is in its peak and urges for preventive measures against the cold.

According to the Division’s latest updates, Kathmandu Valley’s minimum temperature was measured at 6.0 degree Celsius and the maximum 13.7 degree Celsius. Dadelhura reports the lowest temperature with a minimum of 0.1 degree Celsius.
