BJP Foreign Affairs Department Chief in Nepal, calls on PM Oli



KATHMANDU: In-charge of Foreign Affairs Department of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Vijay Chauthaiwale has arrived on a Nepal visit.

Chauthaiwale paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Thursday, according to Foreign Affairs Advisor to PM Oli, Rajan Bhattarai.

Bhattarai said that talks were held to strengthen the people-to-people relations between the two countries.

“Honored to call on Rt. Hon. PM @kpsharmaoli ji today. It’s pleasure to be in Kathmandu at the invitation of General Secretary of Nepal Communist Party and Finance Minister Shri Bishnu Paudel ji. @bpaudel1959 @IndiaInNepal,” Chauthaiwale said in a tweet confirming the courtesy call.

The visit comes within two weeks after a visit by Indian Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla.
