Province 1 adds 315 cases to COVID-19 tally

BIRATNAGAR: A total of 315 people have been infected with the coronavirus in the last 24 hours in Province 1.

Among those infected are 124 women and 191 men, according to the Province 1 Ministry of Social Development.

Of the 100 infected in Morang, 63 are in Biratnagar, 83 in Jhapa, 79 in Sunsari, 14 in Udayapur, 13 in Dhankuta, three in Bhojpur, two each in Okhaldhunga, Sankhuwasabha, Tehrathum, and Khotang, one each in Ilam and Panchthar and 13 from outside the Province.

The number of coronavirus infections in the Province has reached 22,513, and 15,315 people have recovered and returned home so far. A total of 516 were discharged today.

The active cases in the Province stand at 7,198.
