Kathmandu Valley sees 1,420 fresh COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU: As many as 1,420  persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population,  1,141 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 86 in Bhaktapur and 193  in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, as many as 2,736 people were diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 has reached 199,760 with fresh cases as of Tuesday afternoon.

A total of 853 individuals were discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 160,577 in the country.

Nepal currently has 38,035 active cases.

Likewise, 1,058 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as 22 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,148 the Ministry confirmed.
