KATHMANDU: Senior Citizen Free Medical Treatment Fund has been instituted in commemoration of the 106th birth anniversary of the Supreme Commander of the 1990 People’s Movement, Ganesh Man Singh.

The Ganesh Man Singh Memorial Hospital and Research Center at Mahalaxmisthan, Lalitpur Metropolitan City-15 announced the initiation of the Fund today.

Inaugurating the initiation of the Fund, former Deputy Prime Minister and Nepali Congress leader, Prakash Man Singh announced that he would deposit his one month’s salary in it.

He said the late Supreme Leader Singh was always in favor of the State providing free medical treatment to the senior citizens and the Ganesh Man Singh Memorial Hospital and Research Center’s this initiation would be a fitting tribute to the late leader.

Hospital’s Chair and former Minister of State for Home Affairs, Deepak Prakash Banskota said the Fund would support the needy senior citizens in their health treatment.

Banskota added that they were preparing to start Ayurveda Health Service at the hospital catering to the senior citizens very soon. RSS
