13 COVID-19 infected including 9 from Morang die in past 12 hours

KATHMANDU: Three COVID-19 infected people including nine from Morang district have died in the past 12 hours in separate places in the country.

Of the deceased, nine are from Morang, two from Bardiya and one each from Dang and Chitwan.

Morang alone has witnessed a record high nine deaths linked with COVID-19 in the past 12 hours.

Eight people died in the course of treatment while one died in home isolation.

Seven men and two women are among those dead. As many as five infected people died in the course of treatment at Nobel Teaching Hospital on Tuesday morning.

Similarly, two died at the COVID Treatment Center of Koshi Hospital, one at Neuro Hospital and one passed away at Home Isolation.

A 57-year-old man infected with COVID-19 of Myanglung-10 died at 8:20 am at Nobel Hospital today.

He had been admitted to the COVID-19 center on November 7 after testing positive for the virus.

A 65-year-old man of Gauradaha-5, Jhapa passed away at Nobel Hospital at 8:25 am today. The sexagenarian had been admitted to the hospital after being diagnosed with the virus on October 29.

A 70-year-old man of Haldibari-4, Jhapa passed away at 5:45 am. He had been admitted to Nobel Hospital on October 31.

Likewise, a 21-year-old youth of Triyuga-3, Udayapur died at Nobel Hospital at 5:30 am today.

A 77-year-old man of Ratuwamai municipality-9, Morang died in the course of treatment at Nobel Hospital at 6:30 am.

He had been admitted to the hospital on November 7 after testing positive for the virus.

Similarly, a 69-year-old woman of Itahari-5 died at Koshi Hospital in Biratnagar this morning.

A 77-year-old man of Biratnagar-3 passed away at 7:30 today. He had been hospitalized on November 7.

Likewise, a 50-year-old man of Katahari-2, Morang died in the course of treatment at Neuro Hospital at 9:50 pm yesterday.

The patient was suffering from pneumonia and had been hospitalized on November 6, said Administrative Officer Suresh Acharya of the hospital.

Likewise, a 77-year-old woman of Sundarharaincha-7, Morang has died in home isolation. Her PCR report came out positive for the virus on Monday.

Similarly, four people including three from Banke district have died from COVID-19 infection in the country in the past 24 hours.

Of the deceased, two are from Bardiya and one each from Dang and Chitwan.

A 29-year-old man of Thakurdwara municipality-2, Bardiya died in the course of treatment at Nepal Medical College Teaching Hospital Kohalpur.

He had been hospitalized on November 8 and passed away on Monday afternoon. His PCR report came out positive at 6 pm yesterday.

Similarly, a 35-year-old man of Bansgadhi municipality-8 died in the course of treatment at Western Hospital, Nepalgunj.

The patient, who had been hospitalized on November 8, tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday evening and died on the same day, said Naresh Shrestha, the focal person of Banke.

Likewise, a 64-year-old man of Ghorahi Sub Metropolitan City-15, Dang died in the course of treatment at Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj.

He was hospitalized on Monday and died at 9:30 pm. His report came out positive at 10 pm.

Similarly, a 77-year-old man has passed away in the course of treatment at New Medical College. Originally from Bharatpur Metropolitan City-19, the septuagenarian died in the course of treatment on Monday night.

The elderly, who tested positive for COVID-19 on November 7, had been suffering from pneumonia, diabetes and high blood pressure.
