Cold grips Valley as mercury dips to 9 degree Celsius



KATHMANDU:  The cold temperature is gradually increasing in the Kathmandu Valley, affecting the normal life of the people. The temperature has been recorded at 9 degree Celsius on Tuesday morning.  It was 10 degree Celsius yesterday.

Despite a gradual decrease in the temperature in the morning and evening, the sun will shine during the day, said Raju Pradhanang, a meteorologist.

The maximum temperature in the capital is expected between 22 to 24 degree Celsius today.

The weather will remain clear in most parts of the country today with chances of partly cloudy weather in one or two places in the western hilly regions, according to Pradhanang.
