Province 1 sees record-high 552 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours



MORANG: Province 1 saw a record-high 552 COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Social Development of Province 1, there were 310 cases in Sunsari, 190 cases in Morang, 26 in Jhapa, 5 in Udayapur, four each in Dhankuta and Sankhuwasabha, one each in Khotang, Ilam, Taplejung, and Okhaldhunga and nine cases in the people outside the province in last 24 hours.

With this, the number of cases in the province has reached 9,892 on Saturday.

Similarly, 4,786 people have been discharged after recovery in Province 1 till today. 11 people were discharged today.

A total of 1,642 tests were carried out in Province 1 on Saturday. The Ministry informed that 136,414 people have their swab samples tested till Saturday.
