NCP set to purge party of factionalism and indiscipline

KATHMANDU: Ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is all set to tighten a grip on the party to main discipline and discourage anarchism and groupism.

The political proposal to be submitted on Friday Standing Committee (SC) meeting has stated that it is necessary to purge the parry of factionalism, anarchism and maintain discipline in the party.

The proposal has also directed the leaders and cadres not to post any messages blaming each other on social networking sites.

“The factionalism, anarchism and indiscipline which are rampant at all the three levels of the party will be purged through the effective implementation of the party’s statue and the code of conduct,” reads the proposal.

The proposal has directed the party cadres and leaders not to post any messages on the social networking sites blaming each other.

The proposal has also concluded that the intra-party unity is getting weaker due to the weaknesses on the part of the party leadership.

Stating that the party discipline has been mired in factionalism, the political dossier has proposed to immediately stop it for the sake of the party unity.

The dossier has demanded that the code of conduct devised in the past should be strictly implemented through some slight modifications to maintain discipline, transparent, accountable and exemplary lifestyle of leaders and people’s representatives.
