Judge at Morang District Court tests COVID-19 positive

Services suspend for 3 days



BIRATNAGAR: The services of the Morang District Court have been suspended for three days after it was confirmed that one of the judges has contracted coronavirus.

According to Information Officer Yubaraj Poudel, swab samples of three employees and one judge at the court were collected and the report of the judge came positive for the pandemic virus.

The court had been providing much-needed services, including issuing arrest warrants and extending detention among others.

Poudel said that all the services have been suspended and will now resume on Thursday, adding that the swab samples of 40 employees who were in contact with him were collected and sent to the laboratory for testing.

He said that a decision on resuming services will be taken after receiving the PCR test report of all the employees.
