Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll jumps to 77 as 45-yr-old dies in Birgunj



BIRGUNJ:  The number of deaths from coronavirus has reached 77 in Nepal after a woman succumbed to the virus in Birgunj.

A 45-year-old woman who died in the course of treatment at Coronavirus Gandak Hospital tested positive for coronavirus.

Originally from Birgunj-15, the woman was admitted to the hospital after she complained of respiratory problems and was being treated on a ventilator, said Dr JP Jaiswal of the hospital.

Thyroid-ridden patient’s swab test conducted posthumously tested positive for coronavirus on Sunday.

With this the number of deaths from coronavirus has reached 18 in Birgunj and 77 in the country.
