Kathmandu Valley witnesses 42 COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: In the pace of turning it a coronavirus case, Kathmandu valley has witnessed 42 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday.

According to Prof. Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, Spokesperson of Ministry of Health and Population, three districts of the Valley have confirmed the positive cases in the past 24 hours.

Spokesperson Dr. Gautam informed that 28 people in Kathmandu, 13 in Lalitpur and one in Bhaktapur have tested positive for the virus.

One of the swabs from Kathmandu tested at Shukra Raj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital came out with coronavirus positive result.

Similarly, 15 swabs from Kathmandu, one swab from Bhaktapur and 13 swabs from Lalitpur tested positive in the test carried out at Patan Hospital Laboratory.
