‘What the Flop’ host Sandeep apologizes for his act

KATHMANDU: Host of popular ‘What the Flop’ show, Sandeep Chhetri has apologized for his presentation and appearance on one of the episodes of his show that angered a certain community.

“My aim in the program has always been to entertain the audience through acting and role play,” Chhetri said on his Thursday’s episode, “My program got name and fame with the support from the valued customers; hence, there is no chance of making fun of any community.”

He added that ‘What the Flop’ team and the ‘Kantipur Television’ are ready to make necessary changes as per the suggestions of the viewers.

“I am saddened to hear that a particular community is disappointed with my presentation,” Sandeep commented.

“I belong to the same community, thousands of people of the community love me and have helped me get the position,” he said.

He further added that he and his team would apologize for any miscommunication caused by his character and presentation in the show.

A few days back, an advocate had filed a case against him at the Press Council Nepal demanding the closure of the the program and action against Sandeep and its Producer Vishal Ghosh alleging them for making fun of the Madhesi community in the TV show.
