KATHMANDU: As many as 31 people have been killed and dozens are missing due to incessant rainfall-triggered landslides and floods throughout the country.
According to the National Emergency Operation Center under the Home Ministry, 10 people have died and 12 are missing in landslides in Myagdi’s Dhaulagiri and Malika rural municipalities.
Likewise, three members of a family in Besisahar municipality 7 in Lamjung have died when landslide swept away their house last night.
Meanwhile, as many as seven people have died and 12 other injured because of landslides in Kaski district.
Similarly, nine persons have been killed in landslides in Durlung of Parbat, according to the Center.
Likewise, two people have been killed in landslide in Aathbiskot-3 of West Rukum.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, incessant rainfall is likely to will continue till Monday.
