Nepali man in Indian Army killed in Kashmir clash



KATHMANDU: One more Nepali in Indian Army has lost his life in the Line of Control (LOC) of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday morning.

According to Indian Army sources, the bombarding and firing from Pakistani side that started at around 1 am on Friday, has killed Corporal Sambar Gurung deployed at Rajauri district of Kashmir.

Indian Army claimed that violating the ceasefire in the reason Pakistani side started the attack all of a sudden at about 1 AM.

Lieutenant Colonel Devender Anand, the spokesperson of Jammu Command of Indian Army confirmed the news and added that Gurung died while undergoing treatment after the attack.

According to him, deceased Gurung is from Gorkha district.

This is the second death toll of Nepali defending the Indian border in a month.

Earlier, Corporal Deepak Karki of Gulmi had also died in Nausera region in Rajauri district on June 22.
