Govt. urges to wear mask while stepping out from home



KATHMANDU: The Government of Nepal has requested the public to wear masks while going out from the house.

Speaking at a regular press briefing on Wednesday, Dr Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population has requested to use masks while going out of the house, or going in crowds, visiting to public places and traveling in public transport.

The government says the use of masks reduces the risk of coronavirus infection. The World Health Organization (WHO) also says it is safer to wear a mask when going out.
