Mahabir Pun to manufacture swab collection machine



KATHMANDU: The National Innovation Center (NIC), which has been playing an active role in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 in Nepal, is manufacturing a swab collection machine.

The NIC is preparing to manufacture the machine with the assemble parts imported from Japan.

Posting a twitter message, Mahabir Pun, chairman and social activist of the NIC said, “The required materials have already arrived from Japan and the machine will be manufactured within a few days.

A 3D printer to make needles for extracting swabs and other necessary materials have been brought to Nepal in a Nepal Airlines aircraft few days ago.

Earlier, Pun had manufactured masks, PPE and provided them to health workers in an effort to prevent and control theCOVID19.
