Man breaks into jewelry shop during lockdown, held



DHANGADHI: Police have arrested a man for breaking into a jewelry shop taking advantage of the lockdown in Kailali district.

The arrested has been identified as 45-year-old Pappu Gupta.

District Police Office, Kailali said Gupa broke into Priya Jewelry shop based at Dhangadhi Sub Metropolitan City-1 and decamped with various ornaments on Wednesday night.

Police have recovered the looted ornaments which Gupta had concealed in a drum of water in his rented room.

Police said they are investigating the case after taking Gupta under control.
