KATHMANDU: A Nepali national has died from Coronavirus in the United States of America (USA). The deceased has been identified as 43-year-old Nima Temba Sherpa.
Sherpa who was admitted to a hospital after being tested for the novel virus passed away on Thursday morning in the course of treatment.
Sherpa is survived by a son and a daughter.
According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, the death toll from Coronavirus in America has reached 14, 668 after 1, 827 died in the last 24 hours.
With the 26, 766 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 427, 101.
Currently, 390, 119 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across America, of which 9, 234 are critical. Meanwhile, 22, 314 have returned home after treatment.
