BHAKTAPUR: Leaders of different political parties have condemned the decision of the government to quarantine Nepali evacuees from China in Bhaktapur.

They have demanded the government roll back the decision arguing that they should not be quarantined at the densely populated area.

Chairman of Nepal Workers Peasants Party Narayan Man Bijukchhe opined that it was dangerous to quarantine the evacuees in Capital City as it could cause an outbreak of coronavirus in Nepal.

At a time when the guardians of Nepali students studying in China are worrying much about the health condition of their children, the government has intensified preparation for the quarantine facility at Kharipati, Bhaktpur.

Two buildings of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) at Kharipati are being emptied.

Environment and social study department, and a hostel building are being readied for those who return from China owing to the spread of coronavirus.

Prime Minister KP Oli has already directed the concerned agencies to arrange Shivapuri, Ichangunarayan, Suryabinayak and Kharipati for quarantine of Nepali students.
