MMC beats NRT 4-1, climbs to third position

KATHMANDU: Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC) defeated New Road Team (NRT) 4-1 in the ongoing Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League on Sunday.

With the win, the defending champion has climbed to the third position in the points table.

MMC took the lead in the 35th minute of the game with a goal from Bimal Rana.

Anjan Bista doubled the tally scoring in the 43rd minute of the game. Bista added another goal in the 65th minute of the match taking the scoreline to 3-0.

Sakal Regmi scored a goal for NRT in the 89th minute of the game. Daya Nanda Singh added a goal in the injury time of the second half to secure the win for MMC.

With the win, MMC has been placed third in the points table garnering 22 points from 11 matches.
