Zoological park being constructed in Baglung

BAGLUNG: Baglung Municipality has started developing Detailed Project Report for the construction of zoological park so as to attract tourists.

The DPR development is gaining pace for the construction of the zoological park at Malika community forest area in Baglung Municipality, wards 5, 6 and 7.

Baglung municipality mayor Janak Raj Poudel shared that the municipality started preparing DPR after the study was undertaken last year had termed the construction of the zoological park to be feasible.

The municipality has appropriated a budget of Rs 800,000 in the current fiscal year for the development of DPR. Preparation is underway to construct the zoological park in 175 hectares of land located at Malika Organic Community Forest area.

“The onsite study will be completed this week”, said municipality planning and administrative officer Yukta Prasad Subedi, adding, “We will initiate future works based on the DPR”.

The municipality would emphatically work in collaboration with federal and state governments following the preparation of DPR.
