Two die, four injured in Udayapur jeep mishap

UDAYAPUR: Two persons were killed and four injured when a jeep met with an accident at Tapli Rural Municipality of the district on Wednesday night.

According to District Police Office, the mishap happened when the jeep, Me 1 Ja 2662, was returning to Katari after delivering goods from the rural municipality.

The deceased are Milan Rai, 26, of Tapli-2 and Mahendra Rai, 33, of Biratmode, Jhapa. Both died on the spot, police said.

The injured are Rasmai Rai, 40, Babu Rai, 27, Motilal Rai, 32, and Komalraj Magar, 21 of Tapli.

They are undergoing treatment in Katari Hospital, police said.
