Suspicious Iranian national carrying US passport sent back from Nepal’s airport

KATHMANDU: An Iranian national who arrived in Nepal carrying a passport issued in the name of a US citizen has been sent back.

Iranian national Hassan Golkar Riji who had landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) with a passport issued in the name of Richard Joseph Lindecker (passport number 594223532) was sent back.

He had arrived from Malaysia through a flight of Malindo Air on Saturday. The Immigration Office at TIA sent him back to Malaysia after seizing the passport he was carrying.

He was sent back after the passport he was carrying was found to be stolen and lost travel documents.
