Parliamentary Committee directs government to withdraw decision to add AIG posts

KATHMANDU: The State Affairs Committee of the Parliament has directed the government to immediately withdraw its decision to increase the posts of AIGs.

A meeting of the Committee held today directed the government to reverse its previous decision.

A few days ago, a meeting of the cabinet had decided to add one post of the AIG and three DIGs.

DIG Bishwaraj Pokhrel was promoted to the post of AIG paving the way to become the country’s Inspector General of Police.
