Six nabbed with red panda hide in Lalitpur



LALITPUR: Six people have been arrested from Lalitpur with a hide of a red panda.

Police nabbed them from Mahalakshmi Municipality-4, Imadole along with the hide of the endangered animal measuring one foot long and three inches wide.

The arrested are Sunil Gole, 43, and Prakash Tamang, 24, of Sindhupalchowk, of Sindhupalchowk, San Kumar Rai, 41, of Bhojpur, an 18-year-old man from Khotang, Deepak Limbu, 35 of Taplejung and Ammar Bahadur Tamang, 24, of Sindhuli.

A police team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Crime Division caught them from a rented room of one Deepak Limbu.

They have been sent to District Forest Office, Lalitpur for necessary action.
