19 including doctors test coronavirus positive in Arghakhanchi

All services but for emergency suspended

ARGHAKHANCHI: 19 health workers, including doctors in Arghakhanchi have tested positive to coronavirus.

According to Dr. Kapil Gautam, the Medical Superintendent of Arghakhanchi Hospital, the hospital saw 19 coronavirus positive cases including in a doctor, nursing staff, office assistant and others.

This has resulted to the suspension of all services of the hospital except emergency until further notice.

“After finding coronavirus case in the medics and other staffers, all services including Indoor Service, OPD, Lab, X-ray and Maternity service are suspended for the time being,” Dr. Gautam informed, “However, the emergency service will still be provided.”

He added that the hospital has sent the swabs of other doctors, health workers and other staffers for PCR tests at the Province Public Health Laboratory.

Issuing a press release on Friday, the hospital has requested all to consult the birthing centers of other nearest district headquarters.
