Kathmandu Valley records 1,409 COVID-19 cases, three deaths

KATHMANDU: As many as 1,409 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,116 persons in Kathmandu, 163 in Bhaktapur, and 130 in Lalitpur have been tested positive for the coronavirus.

Similarly, three persons have died of the coronavirus in the Valley in the last 24 hours.

A 71-year-old man and 87-year-old woman in Kathmandu and an 84-year-old man in Lalitpur succumbed to the pandemic.

Meanwhile, the country recorded a total of 2,059 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, with the recent data, the total number of cases reached 100,676 in the country as of Friday afternoon.
