Five more people succumb to coronavirus in Sunsari, Morang and Saptari

KATHMANDU: Five more people have succumbed to coronavirus in Sunsari, Morang and Saptari districts.

Two died from coronavirus in the course of treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan.

The deceased are a 68-year-old man of Itahari Sub Metropolitan City-6 and a 52-year-old male of Duhabi, Sunsari.

Sexagenarian from Itahari, who had been hospitalized at the COVID hospital of the Institute on Thursday (October 8), tested positive for the virus on the same day. He breathed his last while undergoing treatment on Thursday night.

Similarly, the 52-year-old man from Duhabi, who had been admitted to the hospital on September 28, succumbed to the virus at 2 am today, informed Nidesh Sapkota, the information officer for the Institute.

He had tested positive for coronavirus on September 28. He was also suffering from kidney ailment.

Likewise, two coronavirus infected patients have died while undergoing treatment at the Biratnagar-based Nobel Hospital.

A 45-year-old male from Dharan Sub Metropolis breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the hospital this morning, according to Narayan Dahal, hospital’s information officer.

He was admitted to the hospital on October 3 after he complained of breathing problem, and his swab was tested the same day.

Likewise, a 72-year-old male undergoing treatment at the same hospital succumbed to coronavirus last night.

He was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday. The septuagenarian was also a patient of lungs and thyroid, the hospital source said.

Likewise, a 67-year-old male from Dakneshwori-4 of Saptari succumbed to coronavirus at the Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajbiraj.

He was suffering from high fever, hospital sources said.
