66 new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Makwanpur



KATHMANDU: Sixty-six additional coronavirus cases have been reported in Makwanpur district.

The newly infected are from Hetauda Sub Metropolitan City and Bhimphedi rural municipality.

Out of 193 swab sample tests carried out at the provincial public health laboratory, 42 males and 24 females tested positive for coronavirus.

According to a report unveiled by Ayurveda and Public Health Promotion Branch on Thursday night, 64 people and two from outside Makwanpur district were diagnosed with coronavirus.

Among those infected, 62 are from Hetauda Sub Metropolitan City and two from Bhimphedi rural municipality, said Bhola Chaulagain, a public health official.
