Chitwan records 30 additional coronavirus cases

CHITWAN: Thirty additional coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Chitwan.

The new cases were confirmed during tests at the laboratory of Bharatpur Hospital on Thursday night.

Among those infected, 27 are from Chitwan while the remaining three are from Nawalparasi and Makwanpur.

The infected are a 23-year-old woman from Gaidakot-12, Nawalparasi, and a 25-year-old man of Kawasoti-17. Similarly, a 50-year-old man of Hetauda-4, Makwanpur has also been infected with the virus.

According to a report unveiled by Bharatpur Hospital, eight males and seven females including a three-year-old minor girl have been infected with the coronavirus.

Likewise, the infected include three males and three females from Rapti, one male and one female from Khairahani and four males from Ratnanagar, informed Dr Nitu Adhikari, the chief of the COVID-19 laboratory of Bharatpur Hospital.
