KATHMANDU: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has directed the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) to immediately move ahead with the purchase of aircraft for domestic flights.

Minister Bhattarai gave the directive in a joint meeting with the Executive Chairman and departmental heads of the national flag carrier at the ministry on Wednesday.

Saying that NAC has only two Twin Otter aircraft for domestic flights, Minister Bhattarai added that it can’t provide services in remote areas with only these aircraft.
