Cabs in Kathmandu Valley to be operated from Thursday



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Chief District Officers (CDOs) of the Kathmandu Valley has decided to allow cabs to be operated from Thursday.

The meeting decided to allow three people including the driver and two children under the age of five years of the same family in a cab.

Similarly, it also decided to allow public vehicles with a capacity of more than 16 seats and private vehicles to operate in the Kathmandu Valley on an odd-even scheme.

However, the rule will not be enforced on vehicles ferrying construction materials.
