Time fixed for opening of department stores, shopping malls

KATHMANDU: Three Chief District Officers (CDOs) of the Kathmandu Valley have decided to allow the opening of department stores and shopping malls from Thursday.

According to Kathmandu Chief District Officer Janak Raj Dahal, department stores and shopping malls will open from Thursday till 11 am and after 4 pm.

Similarly, it has been decided to enforce the odd-even rule on public transport with a capacity of more than 16 seats from Thursday.

He also said that the odd-even system would also be enforced on all types of private vehicles.
